Question

Limit the zap webhook frequency to once in X minutes

Hi, I have a zap which sends a webhook when the subject of my gmail matches a particular phrase.

Question-

If multiple emails qualify the filter rapidly (ie.. multiple emails within, say 10min), I would like to send a webhook only once in 30min. How can I configure the zap to disable itself for 30min since when the last one happened.

Add a Delay action using the "Delay by Zapier" app and choose the "Delay For" option and set it to 30 minutes. This will pause the Zap for 30 minutes after an email matches your criteria.

Hi pranayshinde,

I dont want the zap to be triggered off of the email received 30min ago. Rather I want the zap to sleep for 30min and then trigger off of the first new email that arrives after the 30min period.

I suppose your suggestion will just delay the zap while still triggering off of the event that happened 30min ago.

Please chime in.
