Question

How to turn subscribers to active instead of unconfirmed

Forum|alt.badge.img

I have a webhook trigger in zapier to a mailerlite group - it is testing ok, but when I check for them in mailerlite they are all going into the unconfirmed group... How can I set them as Active as a a subscriber into a group as they have purchased a product that requires the email automation....?

Hi @Carly I

Help links for using MailerLite in Zaps: https://zapier.com/apps/mailerlite/help

Check your double opt-in settings: https://www.mailerlite.com/help/how-to-use-double-opt-in-when-collecting-subscribers

I’ve actually turned off double opt in and it’s still sending them to unconfirmed.

not sure how to fix this

is there a way we can add a default step that activates them - is there a zapier task we can do for this ?

@Carly I

Help link from MailerLite about unconfirmed status:

https://www.mailerlite.com/help/what-are-unconfirmed-subscribers

Unconfirmed subscribers are email addresses who sign up on a form with double opt-in enabled but haven’t confirmed their subscription to your newsletter yet.

Hi, yes I know what that means… I need them to be activated by the zap when they purchase a product… I do not want to send them a opt in email, and i turned this off anyway… so I’m still getting an issue with the zap… is there a workaround

@Carly I

Subscriber data sent before the settings were changed in MailerLite may still be subject to the double opt-in requirements.

From the help link: https://www.mailerlite.com/help/what-are-unconfirmed-subscribers

Since they are not active subscribers, it is not allowed to resend double opt-in emails to unconfirmed subscribers or contact them through MailerLite to confirm their subscription. However, if subscribers attempt to sign up again using a form that has double opt-in enabled, they will receive another confirmation email.

It is possible to set unconfirmed subscribers as active only if you have their permission to do so. Setting them as active without them confirming beforehand is not allowed under any circumstance and is a violation of our Anti-Spam Policy.

To set unconfirmed subscribers as active subscribers:

  1. Head to the Subscribers page.

  2. Click on the Active subscribers dropdown menu and select Unconfirmed from the list.

  3. Select the unconfirmed subscriber(s).

  4. Click Actions.

  5. Select Move to active.

You can also set them as active directly from their profile page:

  1. Search for the unconfirmed subscriber’s email on the Subscribers page.

  2. Click on their email address to be taken to their profile page.

  3. Click on Actions.

  4. Select Subscribe.

I do not need the hassel of going in and changin people to active, it needs to be automated...this is why we’re using a zap!

@Carly I

Might be worth trying MailerLite Support for possible guidance with their app.

FYI - I fixed it by creating two “Code by Zapier” python codes to fix this….. it was a 3 hour mission of coding with Calude AI...
