Question

How can I create a 'webhook response' like in Make.com?

I’m trying to implement something I’m following from a Make.com tutorial but in Zapier in order to get one of our apps working. In the tutorial, a payload is sent to a webhook. That then triggers an automation and the results are then sent back to the original app via a ‘webhook response’.

In Zapier, I can’t see a way to do this. I checked the community here and found closed threads from 3 years ago on this topic saying it was in the works I believe.

Is there really still no way to do this?

This is the webhook response functionality I need to perform in Zapier:

But in Zapier, I don’t see an option to do that. It’s essential for me to get one of our applications working.

Hi @MJ_IATC

The Webhooks Zap app does not yet support the ability to customize a response.

@Troy Tessalone Oh, that’s a huge disappointment. I’m surprised this hasn’t been added after three years. Is there a workaround?

@MJ_IATC

No workaround exists that I’m aware of.
