Followers data on Instagram to a Google Sheets

I would like to be able to automatically collect follower data from our Instagram into a spreadsheet each month.

I set up a zap with a monthly schedule trigger → to connect to IG and read FOLLOWERS DATA → to Google Sheets to add new row with the date and the FOLLOWERS DATA.


The schedule part was easy and the sheets part seemed easy but I can’t figure out how to deal with the Instagram part. I see no way to access/query “FOLLOWERS DATA” and the API stuff is over my head!

We do use later.com for managing IG but they don’t have any zapier integration.

Just to be clear, I’m only recording number county data from our own business level IG and I do have access/business level access too. I don’t need the actual followers. I did see an older post about this but I’d have hoped in three years this would now be an option!!
