Connecting a custom API as a Zap action

I want to update a custom texting platform with Mailchimp with new Mailchimp subscribers.  When there is a new subscriber in MailChimp, I want the zap to automatically add the subscriber to our custom texting platform.  The platform has an API.  The Mailchimp trigger is easy but I can’t see how to add the text platform API as an action.  I’m new to this so any help would be appreciated.

You can try using a Webhook by Zapier step (easiest) or building it out on developer.zapier.com https://platform.zapier.com/docs/zapier-intro
