We are currently running FB ads and adding leads to MySQL dB via Zap.

We wish NOT to give permission to live dB to the external world. Can we give an API endpoint instead of dB credentials

Hi @anirbanshee

The Webhooks app as an action step in a Zap can be used to leverage an API: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help

Hey @anirbanshee were you able to accomplish what you needed with Troy’s suggestion of using Webhooks?

To provide a bit more context on data access, in order for Zapier to create any automation for you, we need to have permissions to access your data within your app account. We ask for all permissions upfront to be able to carry out any actions on your behalf through your Zaps so you don’t have to go through the trouble to provide authentication for each and every step. We never access anything without your explicit permission and that access will always happen within the context of the Zap you are building. You are in control of all access and permissions.
