Hey everyone! 👋

I wanted to share an automation I built for a client that’s been a game-changer for their workflow.

The problem:
They were constantly switching between apps to check Google Voice texts, voicemails, and missed-call alerts.

The solution:
I set up a Zap that instantly sends Google Voice alerts (via Gmail) directly into their team’s Slack channel—so they can respond faster and never miss a message.

How it works:

  1. Trigger: New SMS, voicemail, or missed call in Google Voice

  2. Zapier Actions:

    • Pulls the message content, caller ID, and timestamp from the email sent by Google Voice

    • Formats it nicely for Slack

  3. Final Step: Sends a Slack message to a dedicated “Customer Support” channel

It also checks my client’s CRM records and adds their name to Google Contacts if they’re found, so that they can always see who they’re messaging with.

If anyone’s interested, I can walk through the setup. 🚀

Thanks so much for sharing this, @automatemy.co 🤗 If you have the time, I'm sure others in the community would find a walkthrough video or some screenshots of the setup really helpful! 🙏
