How can Zapier interact with Chrome?

Wondering what folks do when they want to extract data from the browser or interact with a page in Chrome for their automations. I’ve tried the Zapier Chrome Extension, but it only lets you create fields that the user would have to fill in when running an automation, rather than scraping the page itself to prefill that. Seems like its basically just a button and not really interacting with the page. Is there another way to do it?

I’ve been building with PixieBrix that works alongside Zapier. Made a quick video showing how it works:

No cost for developers, and it's a standalone product for automation but wondering if it would be useful for anyone else’s Zapier workflows that need some sort of front end or scraping capability? Or is there something better out there I’ve just totally missed?

Thanks for sharing this @brittany_bmb! 🤗 I haven't personally needed to do any web scraping but I know we've definitely had folks in the community asking about it.

Would be interested to hear if anyone is using any of the web scraping apps we integrate with for something like this! 🤔

Agree, I know there are some but I think it gets tricky with places you need to be logged in, like LinkedIn. Would definitely love to hear how folks work around that with Zapier browser scraping integrations!
