IMPORTANT

The scheduled transfers function will be deprecated on January 15, 2024. Existing scheduled transfers will continue to run up until that date. To avoid any disruption, active scheduled transfers will be migrated into new Zaps that can perform the same workflow. You can learn more about these changes here

This article will give you a quick overview of Zapier Transfer, and provide some more resources for you to check out.

What is Transfer?

If you’ve ever built a Zap, you’ll be familiar with the trigger (the event that starts a Zap) and action(s) (the event(s) your Zap performs).

Zapier Transfer, however, is a standalone tool with which you can bulk-move data from one app to another.

With Transfer you have control over which data to move, and where you want to move it. During the process you specify which piece of data will go where (in Zaps we call this “mapping fields”) and you can also filter the data as you’re transferring it.

Transfer is currently available as a beta experience, so users can try it and provide feedback.

When to Use Transfer

With Zaps, you can automate your work processes and ensure that information flows between your apps on an ongoing basis. There are times, however, where Transfer is a better fit:

  • Migrate historical data for Zaps:
  • Manage one-time data transfers for big projects:
  • Schedule recurring transfers for moving bulk data:
  • Copy data when you start using a new app:

How to Set Up Transfer

The Zapier blog team has created a great step-by-step guide, so I would suggest checking that out! In that guide you’ll also learn:

Which Source Apps Transfer Supports

Our Help Center has the most up-to-date list of the apps that are available to transfer from. At the time of writing this article, the number of supported apps is 30.

You can suggest a Transfer integration using this form.

Which Apps Support Update or Create Actions

The same Help Center article is the source of truth when it comes to which apps support Update or Create actions.

Did this feature move or get removed?

This page is broken:

And for some reason, this doesn’t work for Shopify. I was only able to retrieve the 5 most recent records.

Thanks for reaching out here, @Brandyc and @KhairyARH! 👋

It looks as though the guides in the Help Center were since moved which had broken some of the links in the article. I’ve updated the broken Help Center links in the article so now they point to the correct resources. 🙂

The main help guide for Transfer can be found here: Transfer existing data using a Zap. And the list of apps that Transfer currently supports can be found here: Supported source apps

@KhairyARH - I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team to have that issue with Shopify transfers investigated further. They’ll be able to dig into the logs for your account to determine what might be causing only the 5 most recent records to be returned. You can get in touch with them here: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

Please do reach out in the Community if there’s anything else we can assist with. In the meantime, happy Zapping! ⚡
