I am trying to sync my google contacts with notion and a lot of my contacts have “nicknames” or preferred names. I am trying to pull all of the information from google contacts, but I cant find nickname field to import.

Hi @amorada1,

When using Zapier with Google Contacts, the "Nickname" field might not be directly available as a mapped field. However, you can still access it using the "Custom" option in the field mapping process. If you don't see the "Nickname" field in the list, look for a field called "Custom." Click on the "Custom" field, and a dropdown should appear with more fields that aren't in the main list. From the dropdown, select "Nickname." Map the "Nickname" field to the appropriate data from your trigger app.

I hope this helps you set up your Zap.

Thank you for your response, I was able to find the “Custom” field. However it is still coming up in as an empty field. Below is a screen shot from one of my test contacts that have a “nickname” in google, but I am unable to find it in the test pull.

Hi @amorada1

For us to have more info, post screenshots with how your GContacts Zap step is configured in EDIT mode.

Hi @amorada1 👋

It’s been a while since we heard from you here. Were you since able to get this solved?

If yes, would you mind sharing some details here on what the solution was? It would be really helpful to others in the Community facing similar issues. 🤗

And if no, can you share some screenshots as Troy mentioned so we can take a closer look into this? Please remove/hide any private information (like names, emails, addresses etc.) from any screenshots before sharing though.

Thanks, I look forward to your reply!
