Hi,

I’ve created a Zap that creates a G calendar event for every new Evernote reminder.

I also read Amend Google Calendar event title when amend Evernote note title, which 11 months ago said this feature has been requested.

My questions are,

  1. How can I find the status of this feature request?
  2. Is there a way that Zapier can modify my G cal event time when the corresponding Evernote reminder time is modified?
  3. Can Zapier remove events from my G cal when the corresponding EN reminder is marked done?
  4. Do I need to request #2 or #3?
  5. Generally, it seems that Zapier is quite limited. Can’t use Zapier’s EN triggers to trigger events in EN itself, only in other apps; I apparently need to change something in EN to cause a Zap to fire, there’s no way to have Zapier just check every so often and then do something, is there?

Hi @John in Michigan USA

Check out the available triggers/actions/searches for each app.

Evernote: https://zapier.com/apps/evernote/integrations#triggers-and-actions

GCal: https://zapier.com/apps/google-calendar/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Q&A

  1. How can I find the status of this feature request?
    1. You’ll have to submit a ticket to Zapier Support here (https://zapier.com/app/get-help) to be added to the feature request as those aren’t publicly available currently.
  2. Is there a way that Zapier can modify my GCal event time when the corresponding Evernote reminder time is modified?
    1. No & Yes
Evernote doesn’t have a trigger for updated Reminder.
GCal has an Update Event action.
  3. Can Zapier remove events from my GCal when the corresponding EN reminder is marked done?
    1. No & Yes
Evernot doesn’t have a trigger for completed reminder
GCal has a Delete Event action
  4. Do I need to request #2 or #3?
    1. FYI: Most Zap app integrations are created and maintained by the app developer, rather than Zapier, altho unsure who manages these Zap app integrations.
You can submit feature requests to Zapier Support here: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

    1. You may have to go with a more advanced approach and leverage the Evernote API (https://dev.evernote.com/doc/) via Webhook steps (https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/integrations).
