Hi,

Zapier newby here.

Im trying to create an attendance taking automation that adds dates to a Google Sheets Spreadsheet and was wondering:

How do I get Zapier to add data to the next available cell within a particular row in Google Sheets?

Everything I’ve tried so far just keeps writing over the first cell in the row.

Here’s an example of what I’m trying to achieve:

Thanks!

Hi @Backbone

Good question.

GSheets need to be configured in a specific way to be used in Zaps.

Make sure to review the available help articles for using GSheets in Zaps: https://zapier.com/apps/google-sheets/help

@Backbone

Also, I’d recommend using Airtable instead of GSheets.

You can create a relational database by linking records across Tables.

Plus, the better way to structure the data would be to have 1 “Date” record per row, rather than multiple “Dates” per row.
