Question

How do I wait for documents to upload in Fountain before sending them to Salesforce?

We have Zaps that pulls information from Fountain to Salesforce. Our Zaps are designed in such a way that it pulls the data from Fountain through Webhooks once Applicant is moved to a certain stage(Contracted Stage). Here once the applicant is signing the documents digitally the stage will be automatically moved to Contracted and the data will be pulled into Salesforce. But there is a delay in documents loading in Fountain so whatever data is there our ZAP is pulling into Salesforce and hence we are missing the documents. Please help us how to get the information from Fountain with a delay of 10 mins or is it possible to add any filter in webhooks so that all the documents will be pulled into Salesforce.

Hi @Cube84

Good question.

You’d have to add a Delay step to the Zap, then requery Fountain for the desired data via the Fountain API: https://developer.fountain.com/reference/overview

App APIs can be used in Zap with the Webhooks app as an action step: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help

Thank you!

If we are using Webhooks by Zapier in the Initial step the events are Catch Hook/Catch Raw Hook/Retrieve Poll.
In Zapier if I am selecting Catch hook as first step then Delay step and again using Webhooks by Zapier
we have different Event options like Custom Request/GET/POST/PUT. Can you guide which event will be the apt one.

@Cube84

The Zap Webhook configuration in Step 3 will depend on the desired app API endpoint for the data you are trying to get: https://developer.fountain.com/reference/overview

If you need help with configuring Webhooks, which is an advanced approach, consider hiring a Zapier Expert: https://zapier.com/experts
