Hello Guys,

I’m comparing the use of a custom webhook versus the “Job Updated by SimPRO” trigger in Zapier.

  • Why do users prefer custom webhooks over prebuilt triggers like Zapier's 'Job Updated by SimPRO'?
  • Could you help me understand the advantages of each approach in terms of reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness?

The major difference between both is with custom webhook/api you can customize or add more inputs. You can also get the original output from the API. and than  can customize the output as per your need. 

 

Sometimes with prebuiil actions, a few inputs fields are missing and we have to reach out to Zapier Support team. Now it can take weeks for them to add but with custom API calls we can do immediately.
