Spinning my wheels with support on this one. I’m getting 403 error when trying to connect to an Amazon SQS instance with Zapier, however I can successfully connect to the queue with Python and boto3.

I don’t have access to the AWS instance as the queue is auto-generated and embedded in software I’m using, so I can’t see the permissions and SQS setup.

So I’m stuck, with the application developers saying it works as I can connect to it with boto3 and Zapier support saying check my AWS settings, which I can’t access as it’s not my AWS instance…

Anyone have any advice? If you run Zapier Amazon SQS connections, could you list you permission config so I could pass to the app developers?

Hi @matt_

Have you referenced the available help article? https://zapier.com/help/doc/how-get-started-amazon-sqs

Hi Troy,

Yes but I stated earlier that I am not the one maintaining the AWS instance so I can’t use these instructions.

Then you’ll have to communicate and coordinate with the person who does have proper access.

Perhaps share that article with them for reference.

But I can successfully connect to the SQS queue with boto3, the queue works perfectly, so the permissions are valid, but when I try to connect to the queue with Zapier SQS app it doesn’t work.

Might be best to try opening a ticket with Zapier Support for further help: https://zapier.com/app/get-help
