Allow zap user to input auth/api URL

Is there a way to allow zaps to define which URL to use for authentication and API calls? Using the app designer + env variables gives the “Only absolute URLs are supported” error, so I guess that’s out.

Object returned from API call causes "Invalid API Response: - Results must be an array" error

I am working to build a custom app integration in Zapier. The API I am working with returns results as an object, not an array like Zapier expects.    I am using Code Mode in Zapier. Passing custom Dynamic Field Data

I have a Zapier that is using input fields and and a dynamic field that is pulling and gathering custom field data from an email marketing platform.Normally when I pass the information, I use the Key from the Input Fields.The Dynamic Field does not have one.Image of input fieldsI am also adding my code to pass the input fields that I have so far. How to use async/wait to allow multiple, synchronous, API calls in a Trigger or Action

I have seen several posts on the forum asking how to perform multiple http requests in the same action/trigger. Generally, these need to be run in order so that results from one can be used in the following request. How can I auth with a frontend js library?

My app requires the following auth flow:User gets redirected to a URL on my website. They login, grant access etc. In the end the get redirected back to the original URL, but in the query params there is specified a token and some extra information about the user. (Similar to how Spotify does it)I looked over all the options for authentication on Zapier, but it seems like only Oauth has the option of redirecting to an external URL for authentication. How can I solve this problem?Also, is there a way of unit testing the authentication?

Hi, We are trying to publish one app in Zapier platform, as the first step we need to submit review form with login credentials of our app. as mentioned way of guid lines, We couldn’t able to create account with this userid:  contact@zapier.com in our app. As it got already created in one internal product So is there any alternate way to get resolve this issue. Can we get any other userid from Zapier instead of “ contact@zapier.com “

I am building an app in Zapier GUI, I need to fetch the fields based on dropdown selection that user will make.   I had a parent dropdown, After the user action on parent I want to show child dropdown  with values according to the parent dropdown that user has selected. Publishing Tasks

Hello, I am trying to publish my app, but I am unable to do so because of the remaining Publishing Tasks: Action A needs a successful task Action B needs a successful task Full description of both tasks: One Successful Task for Each Trigger/Search/Action To ensure you have tested every visible trigger/search/action, there should be at least one successful task in at least one of the integration admin's task histories for each visible trigger/search/action (Error Code T001)   Both actions are successfully being used in Zaps created by other users - thus having successful tasks. Both actions are also successfully being used in Zaps created by me (the integration admin) - thus again having successful tasks.   Am I missing something here? How do I get these Publishing Tasks to register as completed so that I may publish my app?       Thanks in advance!

Polling quicker than 5 minutes

My client wishes to remove the ~5 minute delay from Quickbooks to Airtable via a Zap I have set up for them. I have two options as I see it: Option A. create my own application for Quickbooks Online on the Zapier platform, but from what I'm reading that would not shorten the 5 minute polling time. Option B create an app on the intuit/Quickbooks platform and have that call a webhook (in Zapier) each time an object is created/modified etc. My questions:Am I correct that polling triggers in an application I build for Zapier would still operate at the ~5 timeframe?Anyone have experience with using Webhooks from QBO to Zapier, any "gotchas" or heads up that I should know about?Thanks!

Feature Idea

Hello can you make the "insert-button" Attached to the height of the screen? That it scrolls down with the code field. This would create a higher usabilty and give us much more speed. Thanks Sebastian

[FEATURE REQUEST] Simple Raw JSON Editor View

While the new editor looks nice, it doesn't seem to speed up any power-users, and the long-awaited "rearranging & duplicating of actions/paths" sounds like it isn't in the immediate future.Since you allow for import/export, and the file is pretty readable for anyone that is used to looking at JSON/basic coding, I was wondering if the team could build a super barebones editor view that you could flip to which would just show the raw code. You wouldn't need to invest tons of resources into allowing for debug functionality, that onus can be placed on the power-users.Spoke with someone on the product team about it and they thought it was a good idea and wouldn't add a ton of development efforts, while also appeasing many of your power-users' frustrations. Could something like this be feasible?Thanks!

Error message: Cannot convert undefined or null value to object (throttled)

I am trying to create a post request that returns an array of gross pay items. I thought I did it correctly and it said that my request was successful, but seconds later I got this big red alert that said “Cannot convert undefined or null value to object (throttled).” I have attached the return code I am using and the model of the data it should be returning. I also attached a photo of the error message. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Here is the Model of the data that should be returned. I am trying to pull in only the grossPayItems Array.Here is the code I am using to pull in the grossPayItems. I have tried wrapping it in an array and not wrapping it in an array with the same results both times.Here is the error message it is giving.

using certificates and private keys with custom app

I’m working on a private integration that has uses an ssl certificates and private key for authentication. I don’t know which authorization option to use in the zapier platform builder.   I’d be find with doing this with webhook, but I can’t seem to find how to pass the key and pem files to zapier.

Handling Line Items as Objects

Hi all, building an app on the Zapier Platform to integrate with Freshbooks since the native Freshbooks app doesn’t have the functionality I need.    I need the line item section to be formatted like so:      "lines": [      {        "name": "Test Item",        "qty": "1",        "unit_cost": {          "amount": "27.00"        }      }     ] As seen here However, when I test things in the Developer Platform under Test your API Request I get the following:    "lines": [      "{ 'name': 'Test Item'",      "'qty': '1'",      "'unit_cost': { 'amount': '27.00'  } }"    ]   This is my current API Request configuration for those line items:       'lines': [bundle.inputData.lines]   what function or formula do I need to put around the bundle.inputData.lines to prevent Zapier from separating it and adding quotes/commas?   When I submit this in the testing section I get the following error: Required field "Name" (name) is missing. Mindbody Private App

I'm stepping over my line of experience as I do regularly...Trying to build a private app for Mindbody Online (https://developers.mindbodyonline.com/PublicDocumentation/V6#authentication) but the authentication is killing me.Somebody told me he's also done it with Session Auth, but I'm fouling that up somehow. Is there a way to do an HTTP request from within a Zap?

I would like to do an HTTP request from within a ZAP. I don’t get any errorrs but the Zap finishes before the HTTP request is done. I am pretty sure that is true as the console.log lines to not appear in the meta output. Is there any way to do an HTTP request inside a zap?

API Key authentication issue with accessing authData

Hey! I am trying to “upgrade” our Zapier integration, and when doing so I have been using the Form mode over the Code mode. Now for some reason my authentication fails when using the authentication in the other triggers which used to work. As you can see from the screenshot below, the authentication is successful: Testing authenticationHowever, when I use the same account and test a trigger to poll another similar resource I get this error:   Polling Trigger request failsI have no clue why this happens. It seems like it not able to access the token stored in bundle.authData, it should be able to right?

How to get user input for an array of objects containing key-value pairs?

Hello!I have registered a development app relating to creating document metadata in our app (Mendeley) and am able to make simple requests to our POST endpoint.I.e., I accept a user input field called title and this successfully translates into a payload of {title”: “userinputhere”}So far so good.What I’m trying to do now is design the Zapier input such that the user is able to specify an array of objects with multiple attributes, specifically"authors": [ { "first_name": "userinputhere", "last_name": "userinputhere", }, { "first_name": "userinputhere", "last_name": "userinputhere", } ],Note that there may be any number of authors of a document, and the idea would be that a user could systematically identify author values to use with a pattern match step to extract author names from e.g. a formatted list of references in a text file.Well, as a non-developer here I am so stuck 😀A few questions:This doesn’t seem to be possible in the visual Input Designer

Using Line-items to loop through multiple emails in gmail search results

Hi there, I'm trying to clean up my inbox by using a push trigger (say I've been gone for a while and I want all emails from a certain list to be archived) so I've got the push trigger set up, and I add an action step for gmail to do a search, but on the edit template screen I notice this:Note: Only one email will be returned by the search.My goal is to have the emails return as line items, or for the rest of the zap to "fork" on those items so I can take action, like archiving the email or something like that. Outside of creating a new Zapier integration for gmail, is there another way to do this? I'll be digging into Apps Scripts as I've only ever used it with Sheets/Docs/Drive but I assume I can use it with gmail as well... just wanted to know if anyone here has a better/different idea?(I'm still going to trigger via a push/button/chrome extension, the call the Google Apps script which will return a comma separated list of IDs matching the sea

Send the info about the Zap as part of rest hook subscription call

In my Zapier App, I am call the resthook API hosted on my app's server to pass on the bundle.targetUrl webhook URL where the data can be reported and trigger the app.I want to send more information, as part of this resthook API call. Things like which action app is used as part of this Zap, what all fields have been mapped in the action app, which of them is required etc.I want this so that I can configure my app more precisely to decide when exactly to report the data and trigger the Zap.I think the answer to this question is in the bundle variable. Hello guys.  Anyone know is it possible to send last id from previous response to my next poling iteration (for example after 15 min)? Or maybe any dinamic value from last responce… Its needed because i cant send thousands filds in one request. It will be something like pagination alternative. Thanks

Zapier logging is not working properly

I'm trying to fix an issue in a webhook trigger so I turn to logging everything via z.console.log to find out what is going wrong.Here's how the operations bit look like in my trigger module:operation: {        type: 'hook',        performSubscribe: subscribeHook,        performUnsubscribe: unsubscribeHook,        perform: getItem,        performList: listItems,        sample: sample    }So, I enable the test zap, fire the webhook and I expect to see some logs when I run the cli command "zapier logs". Running the command, sometimes it gets me a 503 error, saying "Logs are temporarily unavailable, please wait 15 minutes and try again". Some other times it does return things but I would only see logs from the "performSubscribe" function and nothing from the "perform" or the"performList" functions. I have set a send mail action in the test Zap and I do get an email when I fire the hook, so am I right to presume that on
