Zapier isn't pulling ClickUp Field "Task Type" into the Configuration tab

I’m building a Zap that creates a new task in ClickUp based on a new row in a spreadsheet. Everything is working great except one thing: I can’t set the Task Type in Zapier. I’d like to be able map one of the fields from my spreadsheet to tell Zapier to assign the task type. It seems like it should show up after I select the Space, Folder, List, etc, but it doesn’t. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi @JaneThru

If you are trying to set a Task Custom Field value, then use this Zap action: ClickUp - Update Custom Field Value

@Troy Tessalone Unfortunately, it’s not a custom field. It’s a standard field in ClickUp. It should pop up with the required fields, but it doesn’t.

@JaneThru

ClickUp API endpoint for creating a Task does not include a field for “type”.

https://clickup.com/api/clickupreference/operation/CreateTask/

This may be why the field is not available to use.

I recommend reaching out to ClickUp Support for more guidance.

@Troy Tessalone Argh - thank you! I didn’t realize the issue was on ClickUp’s end. I’ll submit a ticket.
