Hi,

I’m trying to set up filters to send files based on categories to different S3 folders when submitted via WPForms.  At this point my zap is only seeing the first category in the list.  How do I get it to see the others?

Thanks!

Paul

Hi @PMalmont

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode along with the DATA OUT from the Zap trigger step that you are trying to use in the Filter conditions.

Hi @Troy Tessalone

Here is the WPForms drop down:

My zap:

1 of the 4 filters:

Another one of the filters.  There are 4 of them and they’re all OR options:

This is the test result:

These are the options I’m given to set up the filter:

@PMalmont

You can change your Zap trigger example to test other conditions: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496310366093-Change-the-test-record-in-your-Zap-trigger

@Troy Tessalone

I get that I can do that, but it still only then let’s me have one submission category at any given time.  The only filter that will work will be the one for the last category I tested and all the other categories fail.  How do I engage the other categories?

@PMalmont

Your form dropdown field is a radio button that only allows for 1 option selection.

One approach to test the different cases and paths is by submitting the form 4 times.

From the previous help link you can change the Zap trigger step example record you use to test the Zap action steps with and/or you can modify the Zap trigger test example record data point values to use to test the Zap action steps.

You can also turn the Zap ON and test live, then check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each Zap step to help you trace the data flow and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

 Hi  @Troy Tessalone

Thanks for your help so far.  I’ve published the zap but submission under the dropdown EXPERIENCES is still defaulting the last one I tested before publishing.  You can see in the filter that it’s not reading the menu.  In this particular case BIGFOOT was not selected.  I’m also curious as to why it’s tagging EXPERIENCES with BIGFOOT in each filter option - shouldn’t it just be EXPERIENCES by itself in the first field in each filter?  I just want it to check the experiences field to see if the text contains one of my 4 options.

@Troy Tessalone

I tried setting it up with Paths but no matter what I put in, the EXPERIENCES field just defaults to whatever the last test was before publishing:

Unpublished (no Bigfoot)

Published (with unwanted Bigfoot)

Hi @PMalmont,

The gray text you’re seeing on the data is just a sample data that you have selected in the trigger step.

I would suggest publishing the Zap and triggering the Zap while it’s turned on to see the Zap in full action.

Hopefully, this helps.

OK!  That did the trick.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi @PMalmont,

It’s awesome that Ken’s recommendation got the job done, and I appreciate you sharing how you resolved the issue.
