I have a sequence as follows;

  • Google row added / updated
  • Email sent via outlook
  • Delay of 3 days
  • 2nd Email Sent via outlook
  • Delay of 3 Days
  • 3rd Email sent via outlook

I now need the emails to stop if the person i am emailing replies at any point during the sequence.

Can anyone give me any advice on how to set this up please

Thanks in advance for any help given

Howard

Hi @HowardForster

After each Delay step, add these Zap steps:

  • Action: Delay
  • Action: GSheet - Lookup Row
    • Find the GSheet row that triggered the Zap
  • Action: Filter
    • Check conditions against the data returned from the previous step
  • Action: Outlook - Send Email

not seeing how that checks wether someone has responded to my emails?

@HowardForster

You would need a separate Zap that handles emails and finds/updates the GSheet row to indicate a reply, but be careful to make sure you don’t retrigger the same Zap trigger step.

You’ll want to add a Filter as Zap step 2 to check for the conditions you want for when a row is updated.

The alternative, is to use a proper email campaign/sequence app that would handle that logic for you.

e.g. MailerLite: https://zapier.com/apps/mailerlite/integrations#triggers-and-actions
