Question

How to map source data values to destination field values efficiently in Zapier?

hi all -

I have a question that I think might have a simple answer, but I can’t seem to find it!

My problem is:

Say that the SOURCE data for a field has 3 potential values:  ‘red’, ‘green’ and ‘yellow’.

Now say the DESTINATION field only allows 3 potential values: “high”, “low”, “medium”.

I’d love to just tell Zapier that if that field contains ‘red’ then change it to ‘high’ (for example).

I was thinking to use the Zapier Formatter and use a text find and replace, but it would be a bit cumbersome since there are a lot of fields like this. Would that be a good way to do it?

Any suggestions on the ‘best’ way?

thank you!

Hi there, @Phar94954! 👋

Just wanted to check in to see how you got on with that lookup table Troy suggested. Were you able to use it to convert the relevant source values into the corresponding destination values?

Please let us know if you require any further assistance on this. We're happy to help! 🙂
