I have an Airtable of leads data. When a lead responds to our offline marketing they will be driven to a specific WP page. They will have to enter a reference number in a simple form on the WP page. What’s the triiger and action of creating a zap that can pull the data that matches the reference number and displays on the WP page?

One of the ways you can achieve that is sending them a link with UTM parameters via email. You have to follow the rules of the form plugin on how it can fill fields from UTM params.

  1. Trigger: when someone submits the reference number
  2. Action: Use ‘Airtable’ search record action to get the record
  3. Action: Use ‘send email’ action and in the email body add the link with UTM params which should look like: www.yourdomain.com/form123?name=AirtableRecordName&phone=+15558885558

Now ask the customer to check his email, click on the link, and submit rest of the info.

What you’re looking to do wouldn’t really be something that Zapier would have much to do with, since it sounds like you’re looking to have someone enter information in WordPress and then return Airtable data.
