I can't find my Mailchimp campaign in the drop-down field

Hello

I’m new to Zapier and I want a Mailchimp campaign(Newsletter sign up) to be sent to a new user who just subscribed a newsletter through Tidio on my website. So I made a Zap as below.

Trigger(1.Contact sent from bot in Tidio)>Action(2.Send Campaign in Mailchimp)

The problem is that I can't find the only campaign(Newsletter sign up) on Mailchimp I'm looking for at the campaign list. The only campaign that appears is ‘Email contacts from your customer journey’ which I don’t know what it is.

So my questions are
-Why the campaign, Newsletter sign up, is not showing up?
-Is this the right way make a zap to acheive the goal I want?

I tried other thing such as reconnected the apps and asked this question to Zapier and Mailchimp support but two are not really helping me.

Your advice will be helpful.

Thanks

Hi @Harry Son

Good question.

Try this...

In Mailchimp, configure the desired Customer Journey Automation to be triggered by a Tag.

Then in the Zap, make sure to add/update the Subscriber and add the desired Tag.

Hello @Troy Tessalone

Thank you for your reply. I’m using a free plan of Mailchimp so I’m not able use the Customer Journey Automation. So I’m only able to use the campaign.

In this case, what should I do?

-Can I add tags to the campaign as well?

-And do you know Why the campaign, Newsletter sign up, is not showing up?

Hi @Harry Son

The thing is you cannot do that in Zapier and Mailchimp, please look at this help article for more details .

https://zapier.com/help/doc/common-problems-mailchimp#i-only-want-to-send-a-campaign-to-one-person-not-a-whole-audience

You also need to check this resource in MailChimp

You might wanna then consider an alternative app like ActiveCampaign

@Harry Son

In Mailchimp, under Automations, Classic Automations and Customer Journeys can both be triggered by a Tag being added and be configured to send an email.

Hi @MohSwellam

Thank you and sorry for the late reply. I was contacting Mailchimp about this problem and it took a while but didn’t get the information I want.

So are you saying that Newsletter sign up is a Classic Automation which is not able to add tags?

Are you saying that it is available to add tags to Classic Automations, which is Newsletter sign up in this case?

According to the materials shared by @MohSwellam, it seems like it is not able to add tags to Classic Automations.

If it is possible, please share how to add it.

@Harry Son

A GSearch returned this result to a Mailchimp help article that shows the available Mailchimp Classic Automation Triggers: https://mailchimp.com/help/all-the-classic-automation-triggers/
