Question

Airtable record repeatedly updated with same PandaDoc contract data

Hi Zapier community -- first post here! I’m trying to use Zapier to link Airtable and PandaDoc. I’ve had success creating and sending contracts in PandaDoc using specific data from an Airtable record, but am stalled in successfully inputting the data from the signed contracts (PandaDoc) back into the airtable record. I understand I need a multi-step process, and so far I have my trigger set to when a document from PandaDoc has a status change → Find Record in Airtable → Update Record in Airtable. But once published, the unique data from the PandaDoc contracts keeps updating to the same Airtable record, when really each document in PandaDoc corresponds to a specific record in Airtable. I’m not sure if that makes sense, but would LOVE some help!

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Hi @QHEvents

You need to map the record ID returned from the Find Record step to the Update Record step for Airtable.

Hey @QHEvents, just checking in—were you able to get things working by mapping the record ID as Troy suggested?

Keen to make sure you’re all set here, so let us know if you still need any help! 🙂

Yes! Things seem to be working now (there are a few fields that aren’t accepting the data, but overall I’m getting the hang of it). Thank you.

Great to hear things are working now, @QHEvents! 🎉 If you’re still having trouble with those fields, feel free to share more details on that and we’ll be happy to help. In the meantime, happy Zapping! 😁⚡
