Asana error: The app returned `{"message":task: Not a recognized ID}

I’m trying to set-up a Zap from Smartsheet to Asana. I am trying to do the function “Update Row” so that it doesn't keep adding new tasks in Asana each time I change a heading name or date. Essentially I want to create a Smartsheet for a project, zap all the tasks across to Asana and then have them update automatically whenever I make adjustments on Smartsheet without creating new tasks (unless I add extra rows)

Below are the fields that I’ve filled out and the error message I receive.

@rennie

Check the Task field description for guidance. (e.g. Add a Search step)

Hi @rennie

Good question.

The Task field expects an Asana Task ID, rather than an ID from Smartsheet.

Thanks @Troy Tessalone. Where can I locate the Asana Task ID? Does this need to be done for each row that corresponds to the Smartsheet row? Secondly, do all the tasks need to be in Asana first?

Or do I need two Zaps” 1) Create New Task and then 2) Update Task?
