How to get Product Metadata from Stripe

Hi Fam,

I’ve tried to get stripe product metadata, but it doesn’t seem to work.

There are quite a few posts on it, and all roads seem to point to using a webhook, which I can’t figure out how to set up. This guide is good, but it only applies to checkouts via stripe I think.

If I set metadata on Price instead of Product, will Zapier pick that up? How do I set up a webhook to get Product Metadata?

Hi @Blaine

Try adding a Stripe Find Charge step to the Zap to see if that returns the desired metadata.

Otherwise, the solution will likely involve using the Stripe API: https://stripe.com/docs/api

App APIs can be used in Zaps with the Webhooks app as an action step: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Hey @Blaine! Just checking in here to see if Troy’s suggestion helped with what you were looking to accomplish. Let us know!

Thanks @jesse , unfortunately it did not. Can’t get zapier to do this, nor integromat, so we’re changing what we do. Not sure why product metadata is not being pulled in but hopefully in the future.
