Have status in JIRA update a Smartsheets row status

Hello!

I’m trying to connect a jira project to a smartsheets sheet and wanted to ask for some help.

I’m trying to do the following:

  • When status in Jira is updated, it will update the corresponding Smartsheets row with the new status.
  • I have a specific row referenced in the zap
  • I put the Jira ticket # in the smartsheet for reference
  • And when when I test, the smartsheets status doesn’t change. I created a “Jira status” where I initially put in a single select, but since that wasn’t working I made it an open field, but that didn’t work either.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi @dkang

I see that you’ve written to our Support team. Please continue the conversation there, since they’re able to dig into your Zaps and our detailed logs (if necessary) :)

Please provide screenshots of how your Zap step is configured.

Thanks Troy. For some reason, though I think I’m following all the steps, I’m still not getting what I need. I’m just simply trying to get Jira status changes to show up in my smartsheets. But in my messing around with the settings, either nothing shows up, or some weird text will show up that is not part of the jira status drop down.

The field I’m trying to send over is “1. Fields Status Name: Backlog” but that’s not coming through into smartsheets.
