How to set up a Zap from monday.com to HubSpot for contact updates


Hey all, noob question or maybe brain is fried.

Setting up zap from Monday to hub spot for contacts. For example, if if I update a column in Monday it will update the contact in hub spot.

The trigger works and passes the test but the action, the hub spot action, is what fails. I have it to update a contact in hub spot.

The item requires a object ID and I have tried several items in here but zap fails on test.

Does anyone know what the object ID should be? Anything else? I'm only working with contacts and nothing else

Help us have more info by posting screenshots with how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode.

Here is the Monday portion which passes the checks.

 

 

 

Here is the HubSpot portion. I don’t know if there is more to it but I don’t know what is required for Object ID exactly. I tried selecting several values but it fails.

Did you manage to get this solved?

If not, I expect for the Object ID field you’d need to select the ID for the contact that you want the Zap to update. IDs between apps are usually different so I expect you might need to add a Find Contact action to find the ID for the contact. Then, in the Update Contact action you’d be able to select the ID for the contact that’s output by the Find Contact action. 

Alternatively, as Troy suggested you could try changing the Update Contact action to HubSpot’s Create or Update Contact action instead.
