Question

How do I use Web Parser to update Netsuite with item availability in Zapier?

Hi Community,

I am setting up my first Zap and looking for some help. I am trying to use Web Parser to search a website to see if an item is available and then update our system Netsuite with a Yes or No field? Does the web parser work like this?

Thank you for any help!

Hi @alexkole90,

Welcome to the Community.

Zapier has no built-in web parser for scraping websites but works with APIs and webhooks. You may contact Netsuite support for additional information with their API documents.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hey Jammer

Can you elaborate on how I would execute a Zap of this nature?

I want to search a website for a list of items. If the item shows on the website then return a value of Y and if not then a value of N.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @alexkole90,

If you’re using Web Parser by Zapier, unfortunately, there is no supported trigger for that app and you can only use that as an action in your Zap.

In the meantime, we have a community post that talks about scraping data from the web. You can read more about that here:

Hopefully, this helps.
