Question

Will sorting/filtering a trigger column in Google Sheets re-trigger my Zap to sync updates to ActiveCampaign?

I have a Zap set up to sync Google Sheet updates to ActiveCampaign. The trigger is a specific column, and the information in that column will be added as a tag to the contact in ActiveCampaign. If I sort or filter that column, will the Zap be triggered again?

Hi there @media teamding,

Welcome to the Community! 🎉

I did some digging into our notes, and it seems like connecting your Zap with a sheet where rows are frequently sorted, deleted, or reordered is generally not recommended. These actions can trigger your Zap as "updates" to multiple rows, leading to unexpected behavior. Ideally, the sheet that triggers a Zap should have its rows consistently maintained in the same order, with new rows added at the bottom.

Hopefully, this helps.

Thank you for your reply!

Hi @media teamding

Here’s a different approach:

Use Airtable instead of GSheets.

Airtable has Views, which are segments of data that can be:

  • Sorted
  • Filtered
  • Grouped
  • Show/Hide Fields
  • Reorder Fields

Thank you! I will explore Airtable
