How to dynamically remove a tag in ConvertKit when a member cancels in Mighty Networks?

Hi - I have a Zap set up to remove a tag of an email found in my ConvertKit if a person cancels their membership to a community in Mighty Networks. So, my ideal scenario is to have the person cancel in Mighty Networks and Zapier simply removes a specific tag off their email in ConvertKit. However, as seen in the screenshot (in red), Zapier has a generic email address set for ‘Subscriber Email’ - is this just a placeholder or will Zapier only function if a person with that exact email address cancels?

Obviously, if this is not just a placeholder, this renders the whole sequence useless considering many people will have different email addresses, so I need this to be dynamic.

Thank you,
Nic

Nevermind Troy - it seems to be working. I just tested again and it worked without a hitch. I think my initial test was incorrect somehow.

Thank you for your help, I appreciate it.

Hi @Physionic

Try turning your Zap ON and testing live.

Then check your Zap Runs history details to see the real DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Hey Troy - thanks for the response, first off. Secondly, the Zap was on and it was tested and said (on Zapier’s end) everything was fine, but I don’t think it is working as intended. See the attached screenshots for the ‘In/Out Data’.

Hey Troy, here’s a screenshot of that link you sent me. I see an old Zap that I’m not concerned with (it had an error), but the current Zap I’m interested in doesn’t show here.

The second screenshot is of the correct Zap - it ‘looks’ like everything is fine, but when I tested it by adding someone to the Mighty Networks and then removing them, it didn’t do its job (i.e. remove the appropriate tag off the email of interest).

@Physionic

Zaps work while turned ON for new data going forward.

Has there been activity in Mighty Networks for the Zap trigger event that would have fired a Zap Run?

Also, post screenshots showing how your Zap trigger step is configured in EDIT mode.
