I want to create a zap where acustomer purchases a product (call it product A)
And they are added to a mailerlite subscribe group (and email automation begins)
But I’m having trouble as Zapier can pick up my customers email through Stripe. How do I do this?
They are purchasing through my shop on squarespace. If there was a way to connect squarespace to mailerlite directly, I’m open to hearing how I can do that also
Thanks for your help in advance

Hi there @manifestor10thousand - Just sharing the solution offered here with the options you may consider:
To be fully transparent, the current Squarespace integration does not offer a Trigger for new purchases. Right now, the Squarespace integration is only able to trigger on new form submissions:
That said, there are a few workarounds that might be worth exploring.
Option 1:
First, triggering on the Gmail notification you receive is a great idea. Nice find!
If we're interested in taking this approach, I think the key will be extracting the customer's email address so we can send them a message.
To do this, we'd add a Formatter step and use the "Extract Email Address" transformation.
To be clear, using this in the long-run would require a paid plan. But if you're interested in exploring this, please let me know and I can add a 2-week trial so you can see if this might suit your needs.
Option 2:
This is a similar approach to Option 1, but would be usable on a Free plan.
Zapier offers a tool called "Email Parser." Basically, you could automatically forward the email notifications from Gmail to an inbox with Zapier. Then, Zapier will look at the body and extract the parts you want to work with.
To be clear, Parser is a pretty basic tool, so depending on the complexity of the email from Gmail, it may or may not be able to correctly extract the parts we want. But it could definitely be work exploring.
Option 3:
Depending on what payment processor you use with Squarespace, we may have some more options.
For example, Zapier offers triggers for Square, Stripe, and PayPal:
Looks like you’ve got a great conversation going with our Support team and they’re helping you out with this! If you have any further questions you can reply to that thread :)
Checking back in on the ticket you submitted regarding this issue and your account, it seems you may not be receiving the email responses from our Support team.
I can see that they have reached out on July 8 and today, July 22. Often when this happens, we’ve been caught in a Spam filter but a quick search of “Zapier” in this folder usually uncovers them! Could you give that a try and see if they surface?
Please let us know if you are still not seeing these emails and in the meantime, @ForYourIT may be able to help troubleshoot this issue!
