Is there a way to use Google Sheets to remove data from a specific cell based on its content?

Is there a way that if data is found in a particular cell then it removes that data. I thought to put a space in, but then makes the if data exists / not exist filters not work. Anyone know if that’s possible? Thanks!

Hi @Mnevels,

As you’ve found there isn’t a way to properly clear a single field at a time. It’s something we’ve heard several times and are looking at potential solutions.

For now, as you’ve explored, most users will put in placeholder data like “n/a” and use that for filtering.

Thank you for raising.

Thanks @Lars I appreciate the response. That’s what I was going to try but thought I’d see if there was a way and just hadn’t come across it yet.

Thanks @Troy Tessalone for helping get attention to my question.
