Automatically saving emails as comments in Trello cards?

Hi! Has this feature been added yet? I’d like to add the unique email address of a Trello card to clients’ Google contacts so that when I email the client, it also bccs their Trello card and thus saves the conversation history in the comments :) If there’s a better way to do it than this, I’m all ears too! Thanks so much!

Hi @acrf

Yeah this is certainly doable. Here’s how you’d build the zap (assuming in Trello, the card name contains the email address of the contact)

  • Trigger: Gmail/Outlook - New email received
  • Action: Trello - Search trello card with the Sender address
  • Filter: If result exists
  • Action: Trello - Create comment using the ID from 2nd step and email data from 1st step
