How to retrieve a file from google drive url

Hello,

I have a Google drive url related to a pdf file https://drive.google.com/file/...

I want to retrieve that file and his name in order to use a CandidateZip analysis on it. I tried to use Google Drive component as a File Finder but it doesn’t accept google drive URL.

Do you have any clue how to make it ?

Regards

Hi @jdatapy,

Thanks for writing into the Community! The Google Drive integration has a Find a File action with which you can search by name. You would then get an output from that step in your Zap with the full file name, the file object itself and the url to the file - to map to the CandidateZip step.

As the Find File is an action, you’ll need to trigger your Zap somehow, from another app. See other Google Drive workflows here: https://zapier.com/apps/google-drive/integrations#page=1

Hope that helps!
