Zapier RSS suitable for podcasting?

I’ve connected a Google Sheet to the Zapier RSS app to create a feed for a podcast. Will the output for that be suitable for publishing to the big podcast distributors? Is it possible to add custom fields to what is generated by the Zapier RSS?

Hi @paulcristo

If you take a look at the Create Item in Feed RSS action you’ll see which fields you can add:

  • Item Title
  • Author name
  • Author email
  • Media MIME Type
  • What is the MIME type for your raw file? Defaults to audio/mpeg.
  • Media Length In Bytes

There’s not currently a way to add custom fields to that.

In terms of what’s needed for big podcast distributors, I’m not sure on what they would be looking for, sorry!
