Save new attachments in Gmail to Dropbox : how to chose the attachment ?

Hey @Daniel_Clementine, You can do this with Gmail’s new attachment trigger and a filter.Trigger is a new attachment which occurs for each file in the email attachemnt Add a filter that looks for “pdf” in the attachment name Send attachment to dropboxSome things to pay attention to:There will be a fields for all attachments and the attachment that triggered the zap. Make sure you use the correct field The Attachment value in Zapier that you map to Dropbox should say “Attachment: (Exists but not shown)” The filter will upload any attachment with pdf in the title.  If you want to be more selective add additional values to the filter to include things like from/to email or email title

Workflow help needed for customers canceling a reoccurring subscription

@staceyharmon Delay for a set time is pretty bullet proof so as long as the delay until time is correct then your zap will function correctly.If you want to do some stress testing there are two things I would do:Create a test subscription that is valid for 3 days. You can use sandbox to create a couple users and then end the subscription on day 1 and day 2. This will confirm the math for your "delay until" step is working correctly and you are using the correct field in the delay. Once you know the field is correct create some test users for the real subscription. Cancel these a day apart each and then look at the logs for your Zap. You should see a log for each test user with a waiting status. If you created all the test users on the same day you should see the same delay until date for each log of you look at the details.In regards to the handle dates in the past. As long as dates are some point in the future which based on what you've said they should be you can leave that field bla

Private Slack channel does not populate in Zap - Need Help ASAP

Hi @Nisanta,A couple questions and thought of where the error might be:Are you or your channels part of a team or is access given on a per user basis? If you use a custom value equal to the channel ID instead of using the dropdown does the zap work? Did you create the channels or did someone else create them?I have also flagged this to Zapier as this sounds like a bug.  I ran a test in my account and my private channels were populated like they should.

If you were to set this up for 3 people it would look like thisDaily Trigger Get storage value which returns a value of 1 thru 3 First lookup table gets the person based on the number 1= Jane 2= Joe 3= Steve Perform your slack operation or anything else you need Second lookup table increments the number or sets it back to 1 if 3 1=2 2=3 3=1 Set the storage value to the new number

@chrisfinck Couple questions about your setup.When you run a test of step two does the ID have a value?  I checked the onfleet API and creating a task should definitely return one Have you tried turning the zap on and running a test to see if the ID comes through. Can you provide some screen shots of the output logs from a live zap that creates the task?I have seen a value show No data before when you run a test to set up the zap and then change a field in that step.  Zapier updates the value in the subsequent steps and since you haven’t run a test with the new information it looks like no value is present. Turning the zap on and running a test will confirm if it’s this issue or if there really isn’t an ID being returned.

@chrisfinck You can update orders in Shopify using a code step in Zapier.  What is your comfort level with Javascript and code steps? What app is the onfleet task ID coming from?

Zap instantly copies an empty row

Hi @Vladimir Opanasiuk ,The values are there they are just a little harder to get to because of the way Airtable returns them to Zapier.  Look for a value called “Custom Fields”. You will need to pass that value to a Formatter Split Text step to pull out the line items.  Do any of your custom fields include commas “,”?  If so you will need to be specific about what you use as a seperator.Also is there a possibility that a field value may be blank?

@Marianne you can use the document id as a custom value to copy files instead of trying to find the name through the dropdown. I also flagged this to Zapier as the file names not coming in correctly is odd.

@Vladimir Opanasiuk I solved this in my zaps by using the delay function like you have and then looking up the task by the id to get the information I may have entered after it triggered. Basic set up is:Trigger on new task in Asana Delay for 5 minutes “Find task by ID” using the task ID from 1 This will pull in whatever the current task values are Continue as normal It’s a nuance of what the API considers a new task.  Option three creates a task instantly and then you are technically making updates to it. Method 1 the task doesn’t exist until you click “Creat Task”. Since Asana is an instant trigger it requires a few extra tasks to make sure all the information is present.

Hi @Marwin Martina,What you want to do is possible but it requires some advanced Zapier setup. To change a specific value in Monday.com you need to know the “board_id”, “item_id”, and “column_id” which can only be found using a Zapier code step. The basics are:Trigger off of Acuity Reschedule Use a code step to search for the item_id and column_id You will need a term you can use for the search that is unique.  Something like email works well “Update Item Date Column Value” which takes the item_id and column_id form step 2 to insert the new date and timeHere is the basic code.  You will need to put in your own API_Key and boardId values and make sure you use an “email” column to store the persons email. const API_KEY = "xxxxxxxx", boardId = 0000000;const sendRequest = async (payload) => { const response = await fetch("https://api.monday.com/v2/", { method: "POST", body: JSON.stringify(payload), headers: { "content-type": "application/json", authorization: A

Hi @Vladimir Opanasiuk ,Can you clarify what you mean be the + symbol and the project menu methods of creating a task?Maybe make a screen recording so I can see the exact steps you use.  It will help troubleshoot why one way works and the other is  triggering too soon. Also as a quick solution try combing the a delay with doing a “Find Task by ID” step to get the most recent task information.

@MakePerceive You have 2 options to make dynamic changes:Use a couple Formatter steps to create a new file name based on the variables in the email and attachment: Utilities → Look Up Table to provide vendor name based on email Numbers → for math operations Date / Time → To get today’s date in a desired format If you know how to write Python or Javascript you can use a code step to perform the desired logic and output a new file name that you can use Zap would be:Email Trigger → Formatter Steps or Code Step → Dropbox file upload

@MN Team I would definitely suspect that the format of the time is causing issues. Try using a format step to change the time from “2020-09-30T23:00:00:00.0000000” to “2020-09-30 23:00”.   The time your currently trying to do use is accurate to 1.0000000 milliseconds which is way too exact.  Time only needs to be accurate to the minute: YYYY/MM/DD HH:mm

Best google forms - > pdf -> email solution?

Hi @jgirard,   All the solutions I know of from within Zapier requires you to change file permission to public.   In theory you could accomplish this with a google script that gets triggered by a webhook from Zapier. Happy to give you my create pdf code script if your interested in trying to build out the workflow.  Basics would look like: Trigger in Zapier → Create Doc from Template → Send Doc Id and email address to a GScript Webhook which: Makes a pdf Sends pdf to email address provided Deletes pdf

Duplicate customer error in Quickbooks

@small-bus When you get an error for a repeat customer is the action trying to create a new Customer?   The only field that your create Customer should fail for duplicate info is Display Name.  All other fields can be duplicated.   Could a customer be using a different email address but the fields you are using match an existing Display Name?

@aldocake  Currently there is no way to provide a custom response to a hook in Zapier, the backend component that controls it puts the payload in a queue and closes the connection with a 200 response. (There is talk about a revision that would allow this but nothing official yet). Any solution will need an method of sending data to the origin as a separate call.
