@AerialSurvey_Lisa Please tell us how you did this and share pictures please. I’ve been trying to solve this challenge for a long time!
It had nothing to do with the length of the field. That field was a look-up field, so when I populated it for one test, the data didn’t change for subsequent submissions.I think I could make it work in Zapier with another look up but our volume is so low, it’s easy enough to just update one field manually. I will investigate adding that to my Zap when I have time.
Thanks Nick, I kind of figured that out on my own before you had the chance to respond. I know have a complicated form set up and it’s working! At least 97%. I found it works best to send the Contact Object fields directly from JotForm and only the custom fields thru Zapier. I’m still having issues with the phone numbers from JotForm to Salesforce and am planning to work on transferring those thru Zapier tomorrow.
I’ve made what I hope is progress on this. I set it up so that Jotform send over the Contact Object data, so now I’m trying to use Zapier only for the Volunteer Custom Object. But I need help interpreting this. I this telling me that 2 records are being sent, the first being what I want transferred but what is the list below that? Looks like most of the same fields but all are null? See additional image below. I think this means that the Volunteer Info C record doesn’t reflect that name so it can’t find the record in that Object, although it is present in the Contacts Object.
@nicksimard Was that chart helpful?
We resolved this by deciding to manage any medical information directly in Salesforce. So changing our answer to NO regarding HIPAA compliance solved the problem. I’m focused now on all our non-medical forms.
I’m not sure a screen shot would be helpful as I’m not receiving any errors but I drew up the attached image to demonstrate the mapping. I was working with a much more complex form but dummed it down until I can get it to work. From the form we want to use, we want to send certain fields to Contact Object and other fields to a Custom object. As JotForm doesn’t support Custom objects in Salesforce, I thought I would be able to do that with Zapier.
So I’m not the only one experiencing this issue with jotform
Thanks for the tip Bjorn. I’ve tried this with 2 different forms with the same result. Even after submitting a test right after clicking Load More, then clicking that again. I see the new record but am not seeing any of the data. I can see the data in JotForm. So I’m guessing I have flaw in my Jotform to Zapier connection?
See the attached images. My expectation was that the fields from this sample record would be populated with the data I posted in the JotForm when I tested it. I can see the date in JotForm.
I’m still in the Jotform to Zapier part - When this happens. In a training video, it shows how sample data records are pulled in so you can verify the type of data that is brought in. I’m seeing several SAMPLE records but none of them show any of the data that was in the form, just the header record, IP address and such. I’ll have lots more questions about the Salesforce linkage. I need a tutor!
