Using Trello Custom Fields for Docusign Data

I am trying to automate a DocuSign request by adding a particular comment on a Trello card, but the intended recipient’s email address is contained in a custom field on the Trello card.

It appears as though the DocuSign integration does not recognise any data contained in custom fields on the Trello card, which means it cannot be mapped when creating the zap.

Has anyone had any success in automating DocuSign requests via Trello? And if so, where did you store the recipients email address on the Trello card?

Hey @ray_grey Welcome to Community! Hmm, do you have the ability to customize the description of the Trello card? If so, I wonder if our “Named Variables” functionality could help you grab that information to use in a Zap, without having to rely on custom fields:
