Newbie question: can I use Zapier to monitor Google Sheets and send emails?

I’m a complete newbie to Zapier…

I want to create a Google spreadsheet that will have sales on.

Someone needs to either remove a row (to another worksheet on the same spreadsheet) or add a tracking number on that row.

If nothing has been added or row removed after x days, I should get an email and one other person should get an email.

Is this something that I can do with Zapier?

I’m being lazy and trying to save myself a few hours of reading up and trying.

ALSO: just this simple operation… is this classified as a single task?

ALSO: how does make.com fit into everything?

Happy to get pointers of where I should go to read up and learn further.

Thanks.

Hi @redstar

I’d recommend using Airtable instead of GSheets.

Airtable has more controls available to track and trigger.

Airtable has many field types, such as Date, Last Modified, etc.

Airtable has Views, which are segments of data. (sort, filter, etc.)

When records move into Airtable Views, that can trigger automations.

Airtable has native automations.

Airtable Automations have a native integration with Gmail. (e.g. Send Email)
