How to capture images from Slack messages to Google Sheets?

Hi there, 

 

Is there a way to capture images from Slack messages onto Google sheets? We are looking to build a FAQ builder but we first need to compile all the feedback and questions and images onto google sheets . 

 

Any way we are able to do that ?

If you build a zap that triggers on a new Slack message in a channel, one of the fields returned will contain the URL path of any attached images.

Just wanted to follow up here to confirm that with Slack, you can usually find the URL for the images in the Image URL field under Attachments for example:

So in the Google Sheets action step you would select the Attachments > Image URL field and any other relevant fields from the Slack step for each column of the new row that’s being created. Which would look something like this:

This would allow the Zap to add the relevant information and image links from Slack messages into Google Sheets as new rows. :)
