How to add attachment to an email from Google drive?

Previous attempts of attaching a document has resulted in .txt files attached or “virus detected” on my document. Therefore, here is my workaround:

 

In order to send an email with an attachment in zapier, follow these steps:

 

  1. Send email in Gmail action has to be created.
  2. Upload the desired file to a Google drive folder, and change permission to anyone can view the file
  3. Copy the FILE link (not the folder link)
  4. Enter to this page https://sites.google.com/site/gdocs2direct/ and put your link there
  5. Copy the result link to the attachment section in Send email in gmail action (zapier)

 

Done!
