We are getting the following error when trying to connect our Salesforce to a third party that uses LinkedIn SalesNavigator.  Has anyone else had this same error? TIA!

Hi @AO2013

In Salesforce the Company ID is a linked object field, meaning that it expects an internal Salesforce generated ID for the Company.

Try this Salesforce action to find the Company ID.

Hi Troy! Thanks, for your response.  I’m a rookie to Zapier and have not used it much at all.  Is the find a record your’re referring to on the Set Up Action where you select the Salesforce value?  If so, I searched for CompanyID and nothing comes up besides ContactID.

Hi @AO2013

The Salesforce Company ID needs to come from a previous step in the Zap and be mapped thru to the Company field.

If that Company ID is not returned from the trigger step or a previous step in the Zap, then you’ll need to finds/search/lookup that Company ID using a Find Record step.

Check out this help article about mapping values using the ‘Custom’ option: https://zapier.com/help/create/basics/set-up-your-zap-action

@AO2013 FYI: Every Salesforce Object Record has an ID, which is used to link Salesforce Object Records in Zaps.
