How do I drag and drop existing Zap steps into Paths?

Allow drag and drop of existing zap steps into the Paths area.

If a zap is created and half way through the user realises that the zap needs to branch, it would be great to be able to use some of the existing steps created that equate to one path leg. Currently, these must be deleted and recreated after Paths is added in.

Hi @Switch

Feature requests can be submitted via Zapier Support: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

TIP: I often avoid creating Paths for this reason, and instead choose to use Filters with separate Zaps, which also for easier cloning/editing.

More Advanced Approaches

Sub-Zaps: https://zapier.com/apps/sub-zap-by-zapier/integrations

Webhooks (to chain Zaps together): https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/integrations

Just wanted to follow up here to confirm that there’s an existing feature request for the ability to drag and drop existing steps, so I’ve added @Switch’s vote for that. We don’t have an estimate on when this will be possible but will be in touch by email as soon as it is.

In the meantime, the workarounds suggested by Troy may be worth a try! :)

Hi folks! 👋

Just wanted to pop back in here to post a belated update to confirm that it’s possible to drag and drop steps within a Zap now:

Happy Zapping! ⚡
