Hello All,

I am new to Zapier and unable to create below Zap workflow:

Step 1: I receive message on LinkedIn

Step 2: Above triggers an action to store the name, contact info (if shared in profile) and company name of the sender in my Google sheets.

I tried selecting the triggers for Google sheet and LinkedIn, but it does not show any option for LinkedIn Message as a trigger.

How to create this Zap?

Thanks!

Hey @argozap,

Unfortunately, LinkedIn does not offer triggers so far. As a workaround that helps a little bit, I would suggest you exploit that LinkedIn always gives you a notification via email when someone messaged you. There you would also find the name. Thus it would work like this:

  • Trigger: Gmail - New Email
  • Filter: choose here messenger as *@linkedin.com
  • Action: Google Spreadsheet - Create Row (Choose the Name of the sender)

I hope this helps at least a bit. Let me know :)
