When Google Sheet field updated, can I copy comments to another Google Sheet?

I have two Google Sheets.

One is a Master sheet which I store on my google drive and contains sensitive information.

The other is a shared sheet which I share with Joe, only part of my sheet is visible.

Joe has access to the shared sheet and would like to edit with comments on its content.

I’d love to be:

  • notified when Joe has updated the shared sheet
  • take the updated comments from the shared sheet and enter back into my master document

Does anyone have any idea if this is possible?

Just wanted to pop in here as spotted that there’s an existing feature request to have a New Comment trigger added to the Google Sheets integration, which would be what’s needed for the desired workflow here.

I’ve added @Tracy Brown’s vote for that feature request and we’ll be in touch by email as soon as it’s implemented. :)
