Hey guys!

So I am wanting to post new Thinkific reviews sent to me on Gmail onto our FB group.  HTML stripped, and some text reformatted or removed.  I’ve done it successfully using a 9 step zap, but feel it’s too clunky and wondering if there is a better way?

Here’s the review example:

I then used a series of “Replace” text actions, and removed a bunch of text and made a few edits.  The post then appears on FB like this:

So that’s all good and well - but it’s very specific to this particular Thinkific course, and I’d like to have this zap manage reviews that come in generically for our other courses.

Any advice?

With thanks!

David

Hi @davidpey ,

Thanks for reaching out- happy to help!

To help us troubleshoot, can you share a screenshot of your configuration? Then we can go from there to try and find a more streamlined workflow!

Hi @davidpey!

Thanks for sharing those screenshots. I think a cleaner way would be to look into using an email parser (like this one by Zapier: https://zapier.com/apps/email-parser/integrations).

You have those emails forwarded to the parser, you indicate which parts you want to extract and then on later steps of your Zap you can map those into fields.

More info on the Email Parser: https://zapier.com/help/create/email-and-text-messages/set-up-your-email-parser-account-in-zapier

Why don't you take a look at that and let me know if you have any questions?
