Data isn't pulling from Google Spreadsheets correctly

Hi! I have a Zap that takes any new rows in Google Sheets and sends me a new notification to a Slack Channel. I’ve had it for over a year and it suddenly started giving me empty responses in the notification (the notification was still happening, but the info from the row was empty)

After troubleshooting a bit, I found that the info pulled from Zapier isn’t complete, it shows empty cells even though they’re not empty in the spreadsheet.

This is from the Trigger test, but it also shows on the Zap history. All of those columns are filled on the spreadsheet:

I tried creating a new zap from scratch, using a different google account with access to the spreadsheet, using a zap with Google Forms instead of Google Sheets, using the Team Drive option and everything gave me the same error.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @DDM

Check to make sure you don’t have formulas in row cells already.

In your example, check Row 12

Have you reviewed the available help articles for how to configure GSheets for proper use in Zaps?

Hi @Troy Tessalone ! I’ve checked all this. All cells below the submissions are empty, so in this case row 12 does have a submission but Zapier isn’t reading it. And I did check the help articles to configure the Sheet and I’ve been following everything in there. I’ve been using this Zap for over a year and only recently it started having issues, which is very confusing.

Any other ideas?

@DDM

Try checking your GSheets history log of changes to see if you can isolate when the issue started occurring and what the root cause may be.

Might be a good idea to reference your Zap Runs as well to help troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history
