Attachment has an unsupported mime type - Google Sheets to Hootsuite

I am trying to post from google sheets to Facebook and Twitter using Zapier and Hootsuite. It looks straight forward and I can see Zapier is extracting all the right data from google sheets. I am getting this error for all my Zaps (posting to Facebook or Twitter both).

“The message could not be sent to Hootsuite. Attachment has an unsupported mime type”

I think that is because the hootsuite app takes in a “Media URL” but the format is “file format” and from what I am reading Zapier changes the URL to a “File”. Then hootsuite rejects the message.

Any idea how to change this?

Hi @MSadeghi ,

Thanks for reaching out!

I see that Nikki in Support was able to help you with this error and that supplying a Media URL (mp4, gif, jpg, jpeg, png) in Step 2 would do the trick! Alternatively, if you wanted to include a non-media URL, you could map it to the "Description" field instead.
