I receive messages from outsourcing phone answering services. They take a message and send me an email. I use a gmail filter to trigger a to-do zap and want to extract email text to populate contents of the to-do: The email looks like this: Hey,Looks like you’re in business! I’ve just taken a call and message for you. Check out the details below.First name: "Ronald"Last name: "McDonald"Company name: ""No phone number provided: falsePhone number: "+441234567890"No email address provided: trueMessage: "Caller would like to speak regarding breakfast." I want to populate the title using Call back: Firstname Secondname - NUMBER Is it possible to extract this information using the text tools in Z, and if so, how do i go about this? Thanks in advance.
I’m using the Zapier email parser to zap a scheduled message into a Discord channel daily. The zap works fine except that when it displays the image attachment, it ALSO displays a long zapier url for the image. So it looks horrible. Any idea how to JUST get the image in discord but not the image url?
Hi EveryoneI’m familiar with using email parser to move data via a zap into a google sheet. But my issue now is I want to polulate a number of colums with several rows of data, instead of just one new row - specifically, it’s a timesheet email which has data for each day of the week. The data needs to go into specific columns, but I also want a row for each day. The email parse contains data for every day, Monday to Sunday, but currently, the zap will only pick up the first day, ie Monday. Any ideas?
Hello, complete newbie and can’t seem to locate tip or info on something I want to do.Essentially, I want to extract a URL from an order confirmation, go to that URL, and scrape some data from that URL.I have setup the EmailParser from Gmail to filter and forward to the new Parser inbox, then I can extract that URL. That’s where I’m stuck. Is there a way to then take that URL, go to it, and the extract subsequent info from that URL, such as customer name, item ordered, etc. Thanks.
I am trying to create a zap using the email parser as a step in the flow. However, when I try to select “Email Parser by Zapier” in the app selection tool it says “No action available”.I’ve set up my parser template, configured the first step with the mailbox to receive email, and tested the trigger. But when I try to add the Email Parser as the second step I get the “No action available” message.Am I missing something? I appreciate y’all’s help!
I want to use Email parser by Zapier to parse an incomming email and update a Knack record with the body of the email. When we send a client an email we would like to put the Zapier mailbox in the bcc field of the email. Then have Email Parser by Zapier extract the following fields: 1) to email address, 2) subject line and 3) the body of the email. We would then use the “to:” email address to look up the customer in our Knack database and create a record with the subject and body. I can’t seem to find a way to grap the “to:” address in the Email Parser. Is this possible? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Eric
Our CMS generates an email whenever a new article is created, and I’m trying to build a Zap so that the emails can be forwarded and used to create records in an Airtable. The emails are fairly regular but the data is not fielded. One thing I need to do is to be able to parse out the ID number from https://domain.com/drafts/143408/invitations/46de17dbb8dc5de0/accept but the parser gets confused by other URLs in the email that include the domain name. I’m struggling to understand the logic that the templates use to determine what is parsed out. Are additional templates applied first or last? What happens if more than one template matches? Can the same field be extracted by multiple templates? I have a bit of coding knowledge and could write a regex to specify exactly what I want, but as far as I can tell, there’s no way to use it.
What's the best practice for clearing out the mailbox history in Email Parser by Zapier? I maxed out my extra templates, went back and deleted old ones so I could save new ones, but it became a lengthy process due to the amount of emails I parse daily.
Hey Folks,Have made a couple of Zaps but this one is eluding me. This started me on the journey Microsoft Teams Webinar Registration to Salesforce | Zapier Community What I’m trying to make happen is - User signs up to Teams Webinar using the Teams registration page.email gets sent to Zapier with registrant infoinfo gets parsed (and passed) to Campaign Monitor and added to a subscriber list.So far, using Sharepoint and Flow/Power Automate, I’ve managed to get Teams to send the relevant info (name/emailaddress/subscription etc) in an email body to me, comma separated- it arrives in the format:firstname, lastname, email, company , yes/no (required, one of these will be present) It’s a messy ‘branded’ microsoft flow email so not just the salient user data, a bunch of other MS branding etc mixed in with it.Next step now is how to get that relevant CSV body data out of the email and into something Zapier can send into Campaign Monitor fields. Looking into Zapier Parser right now - will upda
Hi, I am creating a Zap between Email Parser by Zapier and Wrike. Email Parser will extract a unique string from my request email (ie Request Number X) and a Wrike request will be created with tile “Request Number X” The zap is not working as the “Request number X” changes for each email. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, Hoping I can please ask a quick question to know whether this is possible to achieve in Zapier. I'm looking into connecting Gmail and Google Sheets. We receive a ton of sales enquiry emails and a major problem is manually inputting key details from every email into google sheets. So, I would like to transfer the relevant information into google sheets. The sales enquiry emails are in HTML format. When inspecting the source code, I believe each email has a standard setup, however with a unique user reference.Such as:m_1200445894070286815consumerm_3632404488982992166consumerm_2679513591627079049consumerI would like to parse and transfer only relevant lead details from the email and not the whole email contents into google sheets. Please find below a sample of how this email is setup in the HTML email. For example, I want to extract value from span tags with ID [m_'userref'-fieldname]Would anybody be able to confirm that this is possible with Zapier and point me in the right direction of
I’m having some issues with the email parser consistently processing emails from TheKnot.com. Some of the fields I’d like to capture are on a full line, and parser sometimes snags up text from the following line instead of stopping at the line’s end. One example is the person’s full name - first and last are together on a single line. The only delimiter is the line break. (Of course, I understand that separating first name from last name can sometimes be a dicey proposition when people have multi-word names.)
Hi all,I am trying to understand the way Zapier’s email parser processes and stores data. I haven’t been able to find any information on this online. Questions that are especially interesting for me are for example: how long are the forwarded emails stored? What happens with the parsed information after they are continue down the workflow we have set up?Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!BestIsab
I am unable to create a new Template in the Email Parser by Zapier. All attempts to create a new Template result in the same error message: Application errorAn error occurred in the application and your page could not be served. If you are the application owner, check your logs for details. You can do this from the Heroku CLI with the commandheroku logs --tail Is anyone else encountering this issue?

Hi everyone,I already know Parser by Zapier has a limit of 25Mb per email.Since this morning a Zap that was correctly working stopped doing so. The starting trigger is Mail Parser by Zapier and it seems like its not receiving emails correctly. Not every email, just the one I actually care about. The Parser is set in such a way to create a new card on Trello with email subject as card title, email body as description of the card and email attachments as card attachments.the attachments are ALWAYS PDFs with a size between 1.5 and 2.5Mb. I tried everything and it seems like parser is correctly working with email with no attachments and emails with small attachments. I have no idea what to do and what to look for to fix this problem.PS. Sorry if this thread is incorrectly placed, this is my first time posting here.
Currently our customer fills out a Help Form that provides the ability to add an attachment to the form, this form is delivered to our Squirrelmail account where we utilize the email parser to extract the information from the email and create a ticket in our Zendesk account. When an attachment (typically an image) is included with these requests a link to the image is provided in a separate attachment section of the email that the parser does not seem to be picking up, it does see identify an attachment exists however it does not identify the links to the images.
