Currently our customer fills out a Help Form that provides the ability to add an attachment to the form, this form is delivered to our Squirrelmail account where we utilize the email parser to extract the information from the email and create a ticket in our Zendesk account. When an attachment (typically an image) is included with these requests a link to the image is provided in a separate attachment section of the email that the parser does not seem to be picking up, it does see identify an attachment exists however it does not identify the links to the images.
I receive messages from outsourcing phone answering services. They take a message and send me an email. I use a gmail filter to trigger a to-do zap and want to extract email text to populate contents of the to-do: The email looks like this: Hey,Looks like you’re in business! I’ve just taken a call and message for you. Check out the details below.First name: "Ronald"Last name: "McDonald"Company name: ""No phone number provided: falsePhone number: "+441234567890"No email address provided: trueMessage: "Caller would like to speak regarding breakfast." I want to populate the title using Call back: Firstname Secondname - NUMBER Is it possible to extract this information using the text tools in Z, and if so, how do i go about this? Thanks in advance.
I am trying to create a zap using the email parser as a step in the flow. However, when I try to select “Email Parser by Zapier” in the app selection tool it says “No action available”.I’ve set up my parser template, configured the first step with the mailbox to receive email, and tested the trigger. But when I try to add the Email Parser as the second step I get the “No action available” message.Am I missing something? I appreciate y’all’s help!
Hello,I have a zap set up for zapier email parser to go high level. When I test it it works fine. When I push it live nothing happens when we send an email for data to be parsed and zapped. The error log doesn’t even show that there was an error, it doesn’t even show up in the history.
Hi EveryoneI’m familiar with using email parser to move data via a zap into a google sheet. But my issue now is I want to polulate a number of colums with several rows of data, instead of just one new row - specifically, it’s a timesheet email which has data for each day of the week. The data needs to go into specific columns, but I also want a row for each day. The email parse contains data for every day, Monday to Sunday, but currently, the zap will only pick up the first day, ie Monday. Any ideas?
Hi everyone,I already know Parser by Zapier has a limit of 25Mb per email.Since this morning a Zap that was correctly working stopped doing so. The starting trigger is Mail Parser by Zapier and it seems like its not receiving emails correctly. Not every email, just the one I actually care about. The Parser is set in such a way to create a new card on Trello with email subject as card title, email body as description of the card and email attachments as card attachments.the attachments are ALWAYS PDFs with a size between 1.5 and 2.5Mb. I tried everything and it seems like parser is correctly working with email with no attachments and emails with small attachments. I have no idea what to do and what to look for to fix this problem.PS. Sorry if this thread is incorrectly placed, this is my first time posting here.
I have a zap that’s capturing a web form and sending it into the zapier parser mailbox using php sendmail. It works well, but certain characters are being marked up. For instance an apostrophe (‘) is converted into ’ - ‘I’m’ becomesis there a way I can correctly unencode this?
Hi all,I am trying to understand the way Zapier’s email parser processes and stores data. I haven’t been able to find any information on this online. Questions that are especially interesting for me are for example: how long are the forwarded emails stored? What happens with the parsed information after they are continue down the workflow we have set up?Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!BestIsab
HiIs there a way to tell the Email Parser to ignore all subsequent text that appears after a specific value in an email? Our Outlook attaches long legal disclaimers after the “yours ...” salutation, that I do not need to parse, and in some cases causes the wrong value to be extracted.I’m currently sending value pairs like:Firstname: JohnLastname: BloggsEmail: email@example.com but the parser can be hit and miss.I can send a more rigid form like XML or JSON or pipe delimited, would be interested in learning if there is a 100% guaranteed way to assure the email body data is extracted properly from an email. Many thank
Hello, complete newbie and can’t seem to locate tip or info on something I want to do.Essentially, I want to extract a URL from an order confirmation, go to that URL, and scrape some data from that URL.I have setup the EmailParser from Gmail to filter and forward to the new Parser inbox, then I can extract that URL. That’s where I’m stuck. Is there a way to then take that URL, go to it, and the extract subsequent info from that URL, such as customer name, item ordered, etc. Thanks.
So I’m working on a project right now that is supposed to take all order receipts from e-commerce places & parses information to build out an overall trend map of your shopping over the course of the year. The problem is that the API’s for the e-commerce sites are very bad, so I thought the best alternative was to just have an email parser that can find the specific info from those orders for the users interested in using the project. The real question is does anyone know if this can be done while respecting privacy/safety or ways to ensure there’s a login ability + transparent permission capability like you would see for downloading apps on iOS/android where we can access the users email just to parse firstname.lastname@example.org only. I understanding how to use the parser if I just want to login myself, but how do I ensure people’s passwords are protected if I want to build something like that above? If it’s not feasible or anyone has alternatives, would love to hear as well.

I’m having some issues with the email parser consistently processing emails from TheKnot.com. Some of the fields I’d like to capture are on a full line, and parser sometimes snags up text from the following line instead of stopping at the line’s end. One example is the person’s full name - first and last are together on a single line. The only delimiter is the line break. (Of course, I understand that separating first name from last name can sometimes be a dicey proposition when people have multi-word names.)
I’ve been using Zapier Parser to parse a lead email that been redirected from my office 365 account for 10 moths. Last Wednesday it broke. I can email directly from my 365 account to the Parser and it works fine.I can forward or redirect and it work. Any suggestions? I parse about 60 - 90 emails per month.
I am unable to create a new Template in the Email Parser by Zapier. All attempts to create a new Template result in the same error message: Application errorAn error occurred in the application and your page could not be served. If you are the application owner, check your logs for details. You can do this from the Heroku CLI with the commandheroku logs --tail Is anyone else encountering this issue?

Looking for assistance in how to Zap a Squarespace post-purchase workflow from Flodesk.I have set-up a mailbox in email parser zap - but emails are not forwarding that come from my squarespace store to that mailbox. Instead it forwarded a contact for submission this morning instead. Odd! I consider myself fairly techy to figure this out, but am having no luck. If there is any work arounds besides this one, I’m open to them - I want to be able to only link 1 product in my store to this zap workflow in Flodesk, not every purchase.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Our CMS generates an email whenever a new article is created, and I’m trying to build a Zap so that the emails can be forwarded and used to create records in an Airtable. The emails are fairly regular but the data is not fielded. One thing I need to do is to be able to parse out the ID number from https://domain.com/drafts/143408/invitations/46de17dbb8dc5de0/accept but the parser gets confused by other URLs in the email that include the domain name. I’m struggling to understand the logic that the templates use to determine what is parsed out. Are additional templates applied first or last? What happens if more than one template matches? Can the same field be extracted by multiple templates? I have a bit of coding knowledge and could write a regex to specify exactly what I want, but as far as I can tell, there’s no way to use it.
Hi, I’ve set up Email Parser by Zapier with three mailboxes to process three different daily emails. What I would like to do is to create a single digest from them, triggered daily, like so: Data from email source A Data from email source B Data from email source C I tried to set this up in a multistep Zap, but it looks like I can’t use the Parser (a) to access emails in more than one of its own mailboxes, and (b) in more than one step (which makes sense). Any ideas on the best workflow to achieve that result? If it can’t be done easily with Digest by Zapier, I suppose I could simply append the data to a Google Doc and then manually extract it on a daily basis (yuck). Thanks for any suggestions!
